Welcome at the web site of soul-blues singer/guitarist Dicky Greenwood and his DICKY GREENWOOD BAND. Dicky Greenwood is one of the top artists in the Dutch blues scene. Dicky Groenewold (his real name) has been working in blues business as a singer, guitarist and songwriter for more than 25 years.
As a guitarist he is clearly influenced by artists likeRonnie Earl, Albert Collins and Jimmy Johnson. And also singers like Al Green, Gregg Alman and Luther Allison were a great inspiration while developing his musical skills. Out of this variaty of blues-and soul styles Dicky created his very own, soul-based blues style.

In 2007 Dicky recorded his fifthCD with the DICKY GREENWOOD BAND: No 5 LIVE and MORE !!. This album contains 14 songs that show the mission of Dicky Greenwood: telling blues stories with his voice AND his guitar! Backed up by a mean Hammond Organ and a tight rythme section, Dicky and his Band gives you a taste of what you may expect at a live show !!!  BLUES and SOUL with passion

Recently the DVD "   Live at the Music Bar" came out and contains a fantastic concert registration.    20 Greenwood Songs recorded live with profesionel camera-crew and great sound . A must- have if you like Blues, Soul, Country and film !!!
